Konchords

Konchords is IIST’s vibrant intra-collegiate cultural evening, held once every semester to celebrate the artistic talents within the campus. It brings together students from all batches for an evening filled with music, dance, drama, poetry, and more. Entirely organized and performed by students, Konchords fosters camaraderie, creativity, and a shared sense of community, making it a much-anticipated highlight of the semester.

Dhanak, the annual cultural fest of IIST, is held every October and stands as a vibrant celebration of the arts. Meaning “rainbow” in Hindi, Dhanak beautifully embodies the diversity of human expression—through music, dance, visual arts, literature, photography, and more.

The Institute Colloquium at IIST is a prestigious platform where distinguished speakers from academia, research organizations, and industry are invited to deliver talks on diverse and cutting-edge topics in science, space science, and allied disciplines. These sessions aim to inspire intellectual curiosity, foster interdisciplinary learning, and expose students and faculty to emerging trends and breakthroughs shaping the frontiers of research and technology.

Conscientia is the annual technical festival of IIST, celebrating innovation, curiosity, and scientific spirit. It attracts a footfall of over 1000 students from universities and institutes across the country, making it one of the most anticipated tech fests in the region. The fest features a wide range of events, including challenging competitions, expert talks, and hands-on workshops that are among the most sought-after by participants.
