JeevYantra: Robotics Club

a

JeevYantra, the Robotics Club at IIST, is a community of students passionate about exploring the vast possibilities of robotics technology. Our goal is to foster a culture of innovation and technical mastery through hands-on learning experiences and collaborative projects. We provide diverse activities and projects, from workshops to collaborative endeavours, offering ample opportunities for skill development and personal growth. Experienced members are committed to guiding newcomers to unlock their full potential in the field of robotics. Every month a learning session is organised for members. A robotics lab at R131, Avionics Block is also managed by the club.

JeevYantra organizes hackathons, competitions, and collaborative projects with other clubs and organizations on and off-campus, in addition to regular activities. These events provide members with opportunities to showcase their talents and foster valuable networking within the robotics community.

Activities

JeevYantra has undertaken ambitious projects such as the development of ball and beam balance, inverted pendulum, reaction wheel, pick and place robotic arm, showcasing the technical expertise and creativity of its members. Club members have done many projects in embedded systems.

The club takes the lead in coordinating activities during Conscientia, the technical fest of IIST, spearheading diverse competitions including Arduino Hackathon, Line Follower, Ambhibots, Maze Solver, and Battle of Bots. Its active participation demonstrated dedication to cultivating technical skills and inspiring creativity and teamwork among members. JeevYantra enthusiastically participates in fest events hosted by other colleges, offering members opportunities to compete and collaborate with peers from diverse institutions.

At JeevYantra, meticulously organized workshops, both on-campus and off-campus, aim to enlighten students about robotics technology. The club has organised workshops in schools as well as colleges in collaboration with IEEE EdSoc Student Branch chapter IIST as a part of our "Vidhya" program for knowledge-sharing. These immersive platforms offer invaluable hands-on experiences, equipping participants with essential skills and knowledge for their robotics journey.
