Eco Club Council @ IIST is the formal body formed to make the camps clean and green. Eco club, deals with activities related to campus environment, maintenance of its ecology, hygiene, and waste disposal. It aims to create awareness and sensitivity among students towards the total environment and its allied problems through various programmes. Eco club conducts many campaigns to minimise use of plastics in the campus, moderate use of water resources, reduce air pollution etc. In addition, action based activities such as cleaning drive, paper bag use, planting trees are also regularly organised under the auspices of eco club council.
