We are seeking a dynamic and highly qualified Faculty Member in Aerospace Engineering to join our team at [Institute Name], a leading center for space science and aeronautics research and education.
The ideal candidate will:
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in aerospace engineering such as:
- Aerodynamics
- Propulsion systems
- Flight mechanics and dynamics
- Spacecraft systems
- Control systems and navigation
- Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations
- Develop and deliver laboratory sessions related to wind tunnel testing, CFD simulations, propulsion, and avionics
- Initiate and conduct cutting-edge research in aerospace and/or space science domains
- Collaborate with industry and space agencies for joint research and consultancy
- Assist in curriculum development and academic planning
- Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Contribute to community outreach and STEM promotion initiatives
Qualifications:
- PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (with aerospace specialization), or a related field
- Proven teaching experience at the university level
- Strong research background with publications in reputable journals
- Experience with simulation tools (ANSYS, MATLAB, Simulink, CATIA, etc.) is highly desirable
- Experience working with space mission or aeronautical projects will be a strong plus
Desirable Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Project management and grant-writing experience
- Industry or space agency collaborations (e.g., ISRO, NASA, ESA) are a bonus
