ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (Deemed to be University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956) envisions the integration of Space Technology and Space Science educational programs with basic and applied research for meeting the national R&D requirements of science and technology in general and of the Indian Space Programme in particular. IIST functions as an autonomous body under the Department of Space, Government of India. The institute provides a vibrant research atmosphere and offers B.Tech, M.Tech, Doctoral and postdoctoral programmes in the areas Avionics, Aerospace and Physical Science. The Institute has the unique mandate of encouraging and equipping brilliant youngsters from all parts of the country to take up a career as Scientist/Engineer in Indian Space Research Organization and other industries. ORGANISING DEPARTMENT
The Department of Avionics was established in the year 2007 at IIST. It offers a four year B. Tech. Programme in Avionics which gives technical excellence in all areas of Avionics engineering such as Control, Digital System Design, Digital communication, VLSI Design, Navigation, Guidance, Computer Technology and Power Electronics. In addition to this the department offers M.Tech in Control System, RF and Microwave Communication, Signal Processing, Power Electronics, VLSI and Microsystems. The department also provides Ph.D program in various disciplines of Avionics like Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

Registration must be done at https://goo.gl/9dEkn3.On reception of selection confirmation email from the course organizer, participants are requested to send the registration form and non-refundable DD drawn in favour of “Registrar, IIST payable at Thiruvananthapuram”, on or before 21-11-2016.
Outstation candidates will be provided boarding and lodging facilities. TA/DA will not be provided for the participants.
Course Fee
- For Post graduate Students and research scholars - Rs 2000/- per participant.
- Faculty members - Rs 3000/- per participant
- Scientist / Engineers from Industrials - Rs 5000/- per participant.
- Total number of participants is limited to 45.
